JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Investigators are still working to identify skeletal human remains discovered in the backyard of a Jacksonville home earlier this month, but newly obtained records are providing a closer look at what was happening at the property in the years leading up to the discovery.
The investigation began on June 3 when the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of what appeared to be a human leg bone found near the street on Lincrest Drive. Investigators said a K-9 unit later led officers to the backyard of a nearby home, where skeletal human remains were uncovered.
