Jury Adds $22 Million in Punitive Damages Against Grossman and Erickson After Deadly Westlake Village Crash

LOS ANGELES – Rebecca Grossman’s legal troubles deepened Wednesday when a Los Angeles County jury ordered her to pay $21 million in punitive damages to the family of two young brothers killed in the 2020 Westlake Village crash for which she is now serving prison time.

The same Van Nuys Superior Court jury also ordered former Dodgers pitcher Scott Erickson to pay $1.17 million in punitive damages, bringing the total punitive award to more than $22 million.

The verdict comes less than a week after jurors awarded the Iskander family $176 million in compensatory damages. On Wednesday, the California Supreme Court also declined to hear Grossman’s latest appeal of her murder conviction…
