SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The City of Sioux Falls announced several road construction projects that will begin on Thursday and Friday, June 11 and 12, and will impact travel in parts of the city.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
South Minnesota Avenue & West 20th Street Lane and Street Closure
Beginning at 8:30 AM on Thursday, June 11, 2026, the northbound outside lane of Minnesota Avenue will be closed between West 20th Street and West 19th Street. There will also be a street closure on West 20th Street from South Minnesota Avenue to South Dakota Avenue. Local traffic will not be able to access 20th Street via Minnesota Avenue.
