ANN ARBOR, MI – A 20-year-old has been charged with attempted murder for a shooting in Ann Arbor that injured a woman.
Jason Marqavis Smith, 20, was arraigned June 10 on charges of assault with intent to murder, fleeing police in the third degree, resisting and obstructing a police officer, and three weapons charges in connection with a shooting that occurred earlier this week, according to the Ann Arbor Police Department.
Smith is accused of shooting and injuring a 23-year-old woman around 1:20 a.m. June 9 in the 1700 block of Green Road in Ann Arbor. The woman, from Redford, was inside an apartment when she was shot once in her left elbow, police said…
