Man arrested in Columbus Pizza Hut robbery after returning for wallet

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A man has been charged with aggravated robbery after allegedly stealing a pizza and assaulting the store manager.

According to Columbus police, a man entered a Pizza Hut at 11:26 p.m. Tuesday. He attempted to pay for a pizza at the North High Street location near the South Campus area.

Police said after the man’s credit card was declined, he walked behind the counter to retrieve the pizza out of the warmer. The store manager followed the suspect out of the store, chasing him northbound on High Street. See latest headlines from NBC4 in the video player above.

The suspect, Romel Henry, 22, reportedly stopped running and began punching the manager, who police said was knocked out as he hit the ground. The manager was originally stable at a hospital before his condition reportedly deteriorated and he required breathing assistance…
