Construction equipment maker will expand in Milwaukee’s north side

Another manufacturer has announced plans to scale up in Milwaukee‘s north side.

Milwaukee-based Maxon Industries, Inc., a construction equipment manufacturer, will buy 1.6 acres of land from the city for a $2.8 million expansion in the city’s north side. After expansion, the company will add 25 new employees to its current operation of 22 workers. It will add additional cranes and equipment as well.

The company will buy part of 6600 N. Teutonia Ave. from the city for $125,000, according to a city land report. The purchase was approved by the Common Council in early June and the Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee in late May…
