WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man is dead after his car crashed into a creek near Emporia on Thursday.
The call came in around 12:30 p.m. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said first responders found a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 submerged in a creek along Road 175, east of Emporia.
Emporia Fire and Emergency Medical Services was able to rescue the driver, 67-year-old Marvin Kelley of Lebo. Law enforcement provided care for him at the scene, but he died from his injuries.
