SANDY, Utah (ABC4) — A Sandy man has been reported missing after he was believed to be hiking in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
According to the Sandy City Police Department, John Zitting has been missing for a few days. It is believed that he was hiking in Little Cottonwood Canyon at the time of his disappearance.
Zitting’s family shared on social media that a 2022 Ford F-250 mechanical service truck with a utility bed and a ladder rack, driven by Zitting, was identified by a license plate reader traveling eastbound near 9000 South and 800 East in Sandy on Sunday morning.
