A thunderstorm led to a loss of electrical power in the Smyrna Town Hall during the June 9 Town Council meeting, interrupting the video feed.
The Town’s video production department staff erected a pair of LED lights to allow the meeting to resume. A battery-powered laptop and pen and paper written by flashlight helped to keep a record of the meeting.
During the meeting, the mayor and council members were receiving text messages from the Town’s first responders with reports of storm damage. That allowed the Town’s officials to direct first responders during the council meeting…
