WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Negotiations between the Wichita teachers union and the school district have come to a halt, the union said Thursday.
United Teachers of Wichita said the USD 259 Board of Education chose to move negotiations to an impasse. This is a formal declaration saying that both sides are deadlocked on one or more issues.
The union said some of the things negotiators are arguing for in this contract are higher teacher salaries and more planning time.
