HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — As families head to creeks and swimming holes in Hamilton County to cool off, WaterWays is launching a summer water quality testing initiative to monitor the health of popular local spots.
The “Summer Swim Report” will provide weekly water monitoring at Greenway Farm Quarry, Big Soddy Creek Gulf, Audubon Acres, Rainbow Lake, Middle Creek and Suck Creek.
WaterWays staff and volunteers will collect and test water samples weekly through Labor Day, checking Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria levels.
The goal is to help the community make informed decisions about safe swimming for families and pets…
