(WJET/WFXP)– Police in Chautauqua County are investigating after a man was shot and killed Thursday night in the City of Dunkirk.
According to Dunkirk police, the shooting happened around 10 pm in the 100 block of South Gazelle Street on the city’s east side, where they found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound.

Police said he was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injury, adding that their name and more information will be released once the family has been notified.
