Mexican-inspired breakfast and brunch takes center stage at Casimiro, the highly anticipated followup to 2022 F&W Best New Chef Ana Castro’s acclaimed contemporary seafood restaurant, Acamaya. The restaurant “delves into childhood memories, the breakfasts we ate growing up, and what we eat when we visit family in Mexico,” says Castro.
Located in the historic Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans, the casual, 40-seat restaurant serves Mexican breakfast staples like huevos divorciados (fried eggs covered in salsa roja and salsa verde) and queso en salsa (seared queso fresco smothered in pasilla chile salsa), plus weekly tamal specials.
