A Pennsylvania man is behind bars, charged with assaulting a woman at a Newark business earlier this year.
The incident happened Feb. 3 in the 600 block of South College Avenue, according to Lt. Greg D’Elia, a spokesman for the Newark Police Department.
The victim told police that she and 25-year-old Christian Womack were arguing, and Womack grabbed her by her hair and neck and strangled her, causing her to struggle to breathe, D’Elia said…
