The Nichols Middle School nurse was fired by the Evanston/Skokie School District 65 board June 1 after she surrendered her nursing license to the state of Illinois earlier this year.
Camille Story, who began working in District 65 in August 2025, told the RoundTable that when she completed the Registered Professional Nursing program at the Medical Prep Institute of Tampa Bay, she was under the impression that she was nationally certified.
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) spokesperson Steven Johnson wrote in a statement that Story voluntarily surrendered her license after completing “an unsatisfactory nursing education program.”…
