Charges: Chanhassen man fired rifle at vehicle during I-35 road rage incident

A Chanhassen man tailgated another car on Interstate 35 before shooting at its occupants with a rifle in a bout of road rage, charges allege.

On Wednesday, Richard Kelly Schickel, 28, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon in Hennepin County court in connection to the June 2 incident.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to reports of shots fired on southbound I-35W and Highway 62. At the scene, officers met with a man who said his vehicle had been shot at while driving south on I-35W with his wife…
