St. Louis man charged after police say he dragged officer, led 100 mph chase

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A St. Louis man faces several charges after police said he dragged an officer while trying to flee.

A probable cause statement said officers were conducting surveillance on Deshawn Demyers, 45, after law enforcement received information that he was selling narcotics near 13th Street and Cass Avenue.

Police initiated a traffic stop and followed Demyers into a parking lot, according to the statement. A police officer ordered the defendant to exit after the officer said he saw Demyers reaching through the front seat of his vehicle to grab or hide a gun…
