The heat and humidity will remain with us through the weekend as will the chance for a few afternoon and evening thunderstorms. The storm chance will be a bit more elevated on Sunday as a cold front moves through. Temperatures will be cooler behind that front for the first few days of next week. Daily storm chances will continue. Heat will once again build back into the area later next week with more scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms to deal with. It will be a fairly typical summerlike pattern.
