The Erie Humane Society has announced their interim executive director, naming a familiar face who has been with the organization for over 10 years.
The Humane Society announced Peggy Schneider was appointed by their board of directors following the resignation of current Executive Director Joe Lang, with a formal search for a permanent replacement launching later this year.

Schneider has served on the Humane Society’s board of directors for the last 12 years, four of which as board president, where she helped develop their Pet Wellness Clinic.
Officials said she also brings 12 years of experience in different leadership roles, having spent time as the director of Medical Affairs at Saint Vincent Health Systems and helped raise funds for Saint Vincent Foundation and the Achievement Center…
