McFarland Police reminding locals illegal fireworks are not allowed

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – As the Fourth of July holiday inches closer, the McFarland Police Department is reminding locals and visitors that illegal fireworks will not be allowed within Village limits.

State law allows the sale, possession or use of sparklers not exceeding 36 inches in length, stationary cones and fountains, toy snakes, smoke bombs, caps, noisemakers, confetti poppers with less than 1/4 grain of explosive mixture and devices that spin or move on the ground.

Firecrackers, roman candles, bottle rockets and mortars are illegal in the Village of McFarland…
