SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Last Thursday, the community of Dell Rapids was devastated when a fire burned down PINZ, leaving virtually nothing salvageable.
Among the things lost to the flames were handwritten cookbooks that belonged to the owner’s grandmother. While those specific recipes can’t be replaced, it’s not too late to introduce new ones and create a meaningful community cookbook in honor of Casey McCoy and PINZ.
Wanting to find a way to help, Sallie Franchuk of Cricket’s Catering came up with the idea of a cookbook where people can submit their own family recipes with meaning and share small snippets of family history…
