LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Southern Nevada Pride Fest will return to Sunset Park on Saturday with a smaller event than previous years.
The sixth annual festival will feature one entertainment stage instead of multiple stages used in past years. Organizers said the decision to scale back comes as pride organizations nationwide face significant reductions in corporate sponsorship.
“Corporate sponsors are not sponsoring LGBT events. A lot of them are pulling out because of the DEI,” said Chris Davin, executive director of Southern Nevada Pride Fest. “Unlike other Prides that are canceling all over the United States right now, we’re still keeping ours going.”…
