Scene One movie theaters to offer $1 tickets throughout summer

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Two movie theaters in the Capital Region will be offering $1 movie tickets to select family-friendly films throughout the summer. The deal will be available at Movieland 6 in Schenectady and Wilton Mall Cinemas in Wilton.

Scene One Entertainment will bring 10 G- and PG-rated films to its theaters as part of its Kids’ Movie Series. The $1 admission rate will apply to both adult and children tickets.

“A kid summer shouldn’t suffer because of tightening wallets and we’re thrilled to bring these incredible films back to the big screen as part of our summer Kids’ Movie Series,” Scene One Entertainment CEO and owner Joe Masher said.

Each screening will take place on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. from June 17 through August 19. Take a look below for the lineup:

  • July 8 — “How to Train Your Dragon”

  • August 5 — “Trolls”
  • August 12 — “The Wild Robot”
  • August 19 — “Minions: The Rise of Gru”
