JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Dozens of volunteers picked up trash along Terry Road on Saturday as part of the Jackson Rising Corridor Clean-Up Series, a new initiative aimed at beautifying Jackson block by block.
The series is a joint partnership between Mayor John Horhn’s Inter-Faith Task Force and the City of Jackson’s Innovation Team. The initiative includes the Parish Initiative launched during the development of the Jackson Rising Comprehensive Plan.
The next cleanup on Terry Road is scheduled for June 27 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Additional events include a partnership with Jackson Public Schools Annual Beautification Day on July 17 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and a Capitol Street Corridor cleanup on July 18 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m…
