INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – The putter of a Model T engine and an old-school horn turned heads at the Truman Library Saturday morning as classic cars rolled into the parking lot for a throwback celebration.
The car show put the spotlight on the American flag for Flag Day weekend, combining vintage vehicles with patriotic tradition at a location fitting for the occasion — President Harry Truman loved cars.
“Yes, so today we have a Model T car club. They’re here to celebrate Flag Day weekend,” said Azalea Michel-Whitley, public programs officer at the Truman Library.
