HOUSTON (WJW) – Cleveland Cavaliers guard James Harden is facing a misdemeanor charge after he was arrested early Saturday morning in Houston, Texas.

According to records out of Harris County District Court, Harden, who was traded to the Cavs in February and helped them in their deep playoff run this year, is charged with unlawful carrying of weapons.
Court documents show he was arrested around 3:40 a.m. on June 13. Harden is accused of having a handgun in his car, in plain sight and not in a holster.

He posted a $100 bond and is due in court on June 22.
In a statement to Nexstar’s Fox 8 News, the Cleveland Cavaliers said, “The Cleveland Cavaliers are aware of the arrest of James Harden this morning and are in the process of gathering additional information. We are in contact with James and his representation and will continue to monitor developments as they become available. At this time, we will have no further comment.”…
