PETERSBURG, N.Y. (WNYT) – Multiple people have been taken to the hospital with injuries after a crash in Petersburg, according to the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 2 p.m. Sunday, the Sheriff’s Office responded to Route 2 near the intersection of River Road for a crash involving three cars. The Sheriff’s Office says a Jeep was traveling westbound when a Chevrolet traveling eastbound hit the Jeep. The impact caused the Chevrolet to hit another vehicle behind it.
Police say five people have been injured and taken to Albany Medical Center and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for treatment. Two people were airlifted from the scene. Their conditions are unknown…
