Sunday will start off dry, but showers and storms will develop in the afternoon and evening. Some of these storms could be strong to severe. Biggest threats will be damaging winds. Some localized flooding is possible. Storms will come to an end overnight.
Sunday will also be another very hot day ahead of any rain. Highs will be in the mid 90s with heat index values up to 100. In the mountains it will warm up to the upper 80s near 90.
Isolated showers will be possible through the start of the work week. Temperatures will be cooler, topping out in the 80s. A gradual warming trend will push temperatures back to near 90 along with increasing rain chances by the end of the week…
