(KRON) — Minor coastal flooding is possible in low-lying coastal areas due to higher-than-normal high tides. Hazardous beach conditions will continue through Tuesday with an increased risk of sneaker waves and strong rip currents. Minor to locally moderate heat risk is expected through midweek with seasonable June temperatures.
Marine stratus continues to expand across the Bay Area Sunday morning as the marine layer gradually deepens. This is allowing cooler air to push farther inland, with interior locations running several degrees cooler compared to Saturday. Expect widespread low clouds early, followed by partial afternoon clearing.
High pressure over the eastern Pacific will weaken Sunday as a weak disturbance moves into Northern California. This will lead to a slight cooling trend inland, while coastal areas see little change.
