New Owner Takes Control of Former Ascend Elements Site; EDC Focused on Future Job Creation

The saga of Ascend Elements and its location in Christian County has come to an end, with a new owner agreeing to purchase the partially built facility in Hopkinsville. Despite the pivot, local economic development officials say they are already working to help move the project toward completion.

Southwestern Kentucky Economic Development Council Executive Director Carter Hendricks said Turner-Kokosing Joint Venture, the general contractor that was responsible for constructing the facility, officially acquired the property through the bankruptcy process earlier this month.
