Man arrested on assault charge, accused of pointing ‘long gun’ at person in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A man accused of point a gun at people while “acting disorderly’ on Sunday afternoon is in custody.

Battle Creek Police Department (BCPD) officers said they arrested a 31-year-old Battle Creek man on Sunday after 2:15 p.m. after reports of him walking the street “acting disorderly” with a “long gun” that one person officers talked to said he pointed at them near Pleasant Avenue and Burr Street.

After pointing his gun at the person officers talked to, they said he went into a nearby home…
