Arkansas residents in three metropolitan regions, including Northwest Arkansas, will soon be able to apply for vouchers worth up to $1,200 toward the purchase of an electric bicycle under a new federally funded incentive program.
The Arkansas Tri-Region E-Bike Incentive Program, announced Monday by the Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission, will distribute at least 5,844 e-bike vouchers to residents in Northwest Arkansas, Central Arkansas and the Fort Smith region.
The program is funded through a $7 million Environmental Protection Agency Climate Pollution Reduction Grant and is intended to expand transportation options by helping residents purchase electric bicycles, according to a news release…
