A St. Paul man has been charged with arson after investigators say he threatened an East Bethel homeowner before lighting his house on fire on June 5.
Russell Chase Underdahl, 35, was linked to the arson using neighborhood surveillance footage, a discarded laundry jug, and a handwritten map discovered at his residence.
According to witnesses and surveillance footage, Underdahl was seen carrying a container through the woods shortly before the fire started. That same container, which allegedly smelled like gas, was later found by investigators in the woods near the victim’s home…
