Singer Bonnie Tyler Remains Hospitalized Following Emergency Surgery
Bonnie Tyler, the iconic voice behind hits like “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” continues her recovery after undergoing emergency intestinal surgery in May. The 75-year-old singer was placed in a medically induced coma to aid her treatment, but recent updates from her family indicate she has since been taken out of the coma.
In a statement released Monday on Tyler’s official website, her family shared that while she is no longer unconscious, she remains very unwell and is still receiving intensive care at a hospital in Portugal.
