Trader Joe’s of Lafayette Construction Progress | June 2026

Construction on the new Trader Joe’s at 1710 Camellia Boulevard in Lafayette, LA is continuing to move quickly, and at this point, changes are becoming noticeable almost daily.

When we last posted an update on February 25, 2026, the building’s walls were just starting to go up. Today, the structure is nearly fully formed, and crews have started working on the building’s exterior facade.

The photos and video included in this post were taken on June 11th and show pallets of brick staged around the site waiting to be installed. Since taking the footage, we’ve passed by the site again and can confirm that brickwork has already started going up on portions of the building.

There’s still a lot of exterior work left to do, including additional brickwork, paint, signage, landscaping, and other finishing touches. However, this is typically the phase where a project starts looking less like a construction site and more like the finished building.
