Monday evening forecast: Hottest weather of the year coming

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico faces its hottest weather of the year so far Wednesday with highs up to 110 degrees and heat advisories increasingly likely.

Storms will move southeast across the eastern plains through about 9 p.m. to midnight. A few storms could linger along the Texas border until 11 p.m. or midnight before activity finally diminishes.

Tuesday will turn hotter and drier as northwest flow aloft strengthens and drier air spreads across much of New Mexico. Temperatures will climb several degrees higher than Monday…
