French restaurant in famed Boston space closes after nearly year open

A French-inspired restaurant that took over the former space of one of Boston’s landmark eateries has closed less than a year after it opened.

Nine at 9 Park St Place in Beacon Hill said on social media Monday that it was forced to close its doors because of a lack of funding.

“Today, we learned that no additional funding will be available for the restaurant, leaving us with no choice but to close our doors. This news is especially difficult given the momentum we had recently built,” nine wrote in an Instagram post…
