Competitive eating champions Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo will look to retain their crowns at the July 4 Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Championship in Coney Island.
The competition will take place outside the Nathan’s Famous flagship restaurant at Surf and Stillwell avenues, continuing a tradition that dates back to 1916.
Chestnut enters as the defending men’s champion after downing 70.5 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes during last year’s contest. He plans to challenge his own world record of 76 hot dogs and buns set during the 2021 championship…
