SPRINGFIELD, Ga. (WSAV) — There is nothing better than a summer barbeque but for some restaurant workers that means working in sweltering temperatures.
Co-owner of Roy’s barbeque announced that they have shorten their hours on Fridays after their kitchen temperature reached the high 80’s. Mandy Chambliss, Co-Owner of Roy’s, sat down with WSAV Monday to discuss the reason for the decision.
On Fridays, Roy’s will begin closing at 2 p.m. due to the temperature inside of the kitchen. Chambliss said she wants to provide a safe environment for the staff, and the high temperatures could put their health at risk…
