Rio Rancho Fire and Rescue saves ducklings from storm drain

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – Several ducklings are now back above ground after they were rescued by Rio Rancho Fire Rescue on Sunday.

The ducklings fell into a storm drain following heavy rain in the area and were unable to get out. A nearby resident noticed and made a report about the tiny animals and a fire crew was dispatched.

“Once they were out of the drain, the ducklings were reunited with their waiting mother and continued on their way,” Rio Rancho Fire and Rescue posted to Facebook…
