New policy aims to bar Lehigh County employees from cooperating with ICE

A new policy would prohibit Lehigh County employees from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during enforcement operations, the county’s Executive Josh Siegel announced Tuesday.

During a news conference on June 16, Siegel explained the details of his proposed legislation, which he said aims to protect employees from being “forced” or “coerced” to help ICE agents.
