Country music artist Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee Ann DeFord, has responded to news of her father’s recent divorce filing from his wife, Bunnie Xo, after nearly a decade of marriage.
The 41-year-old musician’s decision to end his marriage to 46-year-old Bunnie Xo was made public on June 15. Bailee, 18, whom Jelly Roll shares with his former partner Felicia Beckwith, addressed the situation via TikTok the following day.
In her post, she expressed frustration over the public’s intense interest in what she described as a private family matter. “I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter,” Bailee wrote.
“It’s f–king crazy. Go on somewhere y’all.
Worry ‘bout your house – not mine. I’m not speaking on it – yet.”
Prior to their split, the couple had been planning to expand their family through the use of a surrogate for twins. In January, Bunnie Xo had shared with the media the emotional challenges she faced during the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process, describing it as “one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through.”
She remained hopeful, stating, “I know that God has a plan and he’s going to make it work. I really do.
I have no doubt in my mind.”
Court documents obtained by news outlets reveal that Jelly Roll filed for divorce in a Tennessee court on May 18, citing “irreconcilable differences” and listing their separation date as May 9. The filing noted that the couple was unable to live together successfully as husband and wife. It also proposed an equitable division of assets and shared responsibility for any debts.
The announcement surprised some fans, as the pair appeared affectionate publicly, even sharing moments of PDA at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Despite the public displays, both Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo had been open about the difficulties in their relationship.
Neither Jelly Roll nor Bunnie Xo have made formal statements about the divorce. However, Bunnie Xo shared a cryptic TikTok post on May 20, two days after the filing, hinting at her feelings with a caption that read, “Women’s intuition when that s–t don’t add up. Mmmmhmmm #bunniexo,” alongside a skeptical expression.
Jelly Roll is also a father to his nine-year-old son, Noah Buddy, from a previous relationship with Melisa Ann Cowell. As this family chapter unfolds, Bailee’s request for privacy underscores the personal nature of the situation amidst public attention.
