BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity broke ground on a new ‘mini-development’ in Calhoun County Tuesday morning.
Five new affordable homes will be built on Simmons Avenue in Battle Creek in the coming months.

The first home to be built will be funded by Advia Credit Union, who also has pledged to provide volunteers to help with the home’s construction.
