PORT ST. LUCIE – A 25-year-old motorcyclist was arrested on June 12 for allegedly traveling 110 mph in a posted 45 mph zone on June 12 near Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway and Southeast Port St. Lucie Boulevard in Port St. Lucie, according to Port St. Lucie Police Facebook posting.
Alex Daniel Tatum of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., was stopped while headed east across the bridge at about 9:25 p.m., June 12 on Southeast Port St. Lucie Boulevard as police were conducting group traffic enforcement in that area, according to the Facebook posting.
Tatum was charged with violating the state’s “super speeder law,” which makes it a criminal offense – a misdemeanor – to operate a motor vehicle 50 mph or more above the posted speed limit. The law went into effect on July 1, 2025…
