Sacramento detectives, backed up by federal agents, hit two locations last Wednesday and say they walked away with one of the department’s biggest drug hauls of the year: roughly 20 pounds of cocaine and about 51 pounds of heroin. The operation drew on the East Problem Oriented Policing (EPOP) and East Violent Crime Reduction (EVCR) units and ended with the arrest of a 37-year-old man. Investigators say the case is very much still active.
Over the last few months, SPD detectives collaborated with Federal Law Enforcement partners on an investigation related to narcotics. On June 10, with the assistance of our East Problem Oriented Policing (EPOP) and East Violent Crime Reduction (EVCR) units, our detectives served a two-location search warrant and located approximately 20 pounds of cocaine and approximately 51 pounds of heroin. Warrant, Seizure And Arrest
According to the Sacramento Police Department, detectives served a two-location search warrant last Wednesday and “located approximately 20 pounds of cocaine and approximately 51 pounds of heroin” during the search. Officers from the department’s EPOP and EVCR units assisted with the operation.
Police say 37-year-old Julian Beall was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and the sale of narcotics in connection with the case. In its public statement, the department called the bust a sign of its “dedication and commitment in removing dangerous narcotics from our city.” Officials have not released further details while the investigation continues.
