CERES, Calif. – The Cherokee Nation recently announced the tribe would be doing a detailed assessment and evaluation of the needs of at-large community organizations across the county.
Part of the announcement included naming CN citizen Channce Condit as the individual to lead the assessment efforts. The duty is not Condit’s first public service position as he currently serves as a Stanislaus County supervisor and is also an experienced community organizer.
Condit said he came across the opportunity while reviewing the tribe’s website.
“I came across this unique opportunity, and I just applied and went through the bidding process, submitted my bid, and ended up getting approved,” Condit said.
The thumbs-up has put Condit amid an ambitious investment by the CN in its citizens living beyond the reservation.
