AT&T is apparently closing its call center in north Lafayette but shift its employees to a remote status.
KATC reported Tuesday that the company released a statement that indicated it will shift its employees to a work-from-home model, apparently moving out of its office at 221 Venture Way that sits on 14 acres.
Itβs unknown if the company laid off any workers. It employed 653 in 2022-23 but dropped that total to 300 by 2024-25, according to data from the Lafayette Economic Development Authority…
