WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Watervliet Housing Authority held it’s annual Laptops for Graduating Seniors Ceremony on June 15. The program provides students living in low-income housing and others in need an opportunity to receive a new laptop, free of charge.
Students who received the laptops will need to complete a full year of college in order to keep them.
“A laptop is a necessary tool for students to complete the workload of college in today’s world.” said Matthew Ethier, executive director of the Watervliet Housing Authority. “We are proud to present these young students with these laptops as they move toward their future endeavors. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the local businesses, organizations, and individuals that make this program possible.”…
