No tax increase included in Hendersonville’s $75 million budget

Hendersonville is considering a budget for fiscal year 2027 that keeps the tax rate the same, but raises water and sewer rates.

The total proposed budget is $75.15 million, according to City Manager John Connet’s presentation at Hendersonville City Council on June 4.

The majority — 45% or $34 million — of the recommended 2027 budget is allocated for the general fund. The water and sewer funds make up 42.7% of the budget, or $33 million. Most of the city’s revenue, 60%, will come from property taxes, with 32.6% coming through sales tax…
