Grand Rapids man charged after alleged assault on fiancée in Midland County

A Grand Rapids man was arraigned Monday in Midland County District Court in connection with assaulting his fiancée in Lincoln Township, leaving her with minor injuries.

Quintin Ashley, 41, was arraigned on felonies of attempted assault to commit great bodily harm less than murder and lying to a peace officer. He is also charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.

Ashley remains lodged in the Midland County Jail on a $50,000 bond. He is set for a 1 p.m. June 30 probable cause hearing with Midland County District Court Judge Michael Carpenter…
